Time Server Accessory

The CS TimeClocks are designed to synchronise their time with an internet time server. In some cases the clocks will not be granted access to the internet in which case you may experience problems with the clocks gaining or losing time.
Instead of an internet time server the clocks can synchronise with a pc on the LAN using the CS TimeServer.
You can download CS TimeServer here.

Installing the Time Server

The time server is a single exe (TimeServer868.exe) and requires no installation. You can either create a shortcut to it in your Startup menu or run it once and install it as a service under theOptions tab.

Ensure that port 37 is not blocked by any firewall between the clocks and the PC.
In theGeneraltab click on the drop down box and select the PC's IP address.

Clock Setup

Next you need to change all the clocks on the LAN to synchronise their time from the PC you've installed the time server on. Before you start, you need the IP address or DNS of the PC the time server is installed on.
Log into the clock's web interface and open theHardware,Clock Setupitem. Change the address in the Time Server field to that of the PC running the time server.

Click onSave.
When a clock synchronises it's time with the time server, you will be able to to see an entry in theGeneral tab of the time server:

Logging

The time server requests can be logged to a topspeed file (TimeServerLogs.tps) which is located in the same folder as the exe.
To enable logging, open theLogs tab of the timeserver and tick theEnable Logging box.
